CRSSD Fall 17 review

We took a trip down to Sunny San Diego, CA for CRSSD Festival over two days (Sep 30th & Oct 1st) The show was filled with a great lineup for all those who love House and Techno! The lineup was filled with over 50 act that featured Richie Hawtin, Chris Lake, Patrick Topping, Latmun, Chromeo, Lane 8, The Magician and many more.

The Thing that we have always loved about CRSSD is that the music that is picked for the show usually brings a far more mature crowd. They seem to stick with this same formula and it continues to really work in their favor. The crowd at CRSSD is always about good vibes and really just enjoying the music. We seen some pretty amazing costumes like a Giant T-Rex who was dancing in the water with all the ladies as well as two fine gentlemen dressed in their lovely Oktoberfest skirts.

The soundtrack for the weekend was absolutely amazing! A big of what we like about CRSSD is that you can always show up and find a new artist to add to your arsenal and we miss that about festivals. The lineup always seems to be shaken up with new pieces to the puzzle and this continues to keep CRSSD fresh. This years City Steps stage had a strong lineup filled with new and old favorites. Latmun, Solaro & Floorplan were among the newer artist that we were not familiar with and took us on some amazing musical journeys.

The Palms stage was filled with some amazing artist that we knew would deliver! Artist like Black Madonna, Lane 8, Destructo, Jax Jones Hotel Garuda, The Magician, Chris Lake & Hot Since 82. The party took off when Chris Lake jumped on the decks and started his set. The crowd was moving all as one as they bounced to the beats. You could look to the left of right and see nothing but happy faces all grooving to the beat. The crowd lost their minds once “operator” came on and all they could do was dance and sing along.

So if you have been living under a rock and never been to a CRSSD festival as of yet, get on it cause this festival is quality. The location is a beautiful place that really sets the tone and gets you in the groove. Now we will just have to wait patiently as we wait for the Spring 18 lineup to be announced so that we can see what CRSSD has lined up for us next year.
