Preview: Tycho & Autograf @ Exchange LA 2/13

On Saturday February 13th, a very special night is going down at Exchange LA as Insomniac Events brings you another spectacular night for Inception Saturday featuring Autograf and a DJ set from Tycho, alongside Nitemoves and Matt Dimona. We want you to be there, because we don’t like it when you miss great shows!

Tycho is a music project started by producer and composer Scott Hansen out of San Francisco, and is known for it’s ambient, down tempo music that is often accompanied by stunning visual elements during performances. In recent years, Tycho has toured with a live backing band. Tycho has a very unique sound, the tracks seeming to tell a story by moving the listener with nostalgia and emotion. One can decipher old school, psychedelic influences mixed in with more modern, experimental and futuristic sounds created with live instruments and electronic synths. The project has released six albums since 2002, with their seventh one on the way, and has even created notable remixes of artists like Little Dragon and Death Cab for Cutie. After playing in many cities in many states, Tycho now makes its way to the great city of Los Angeles for what will no doubt be a memorable Valentines-eve evening. Don’t forget to bring a date!

Autograf is currently in the middle of their Metaphysical Tour, with Exchange LA at just about the halfway mark. This Trio from Chicago is another group taking huge steps in the innovation department, producing future house tracks and performing them live. Their remix of Lorde’s track “Team” has over a million plays. While relatively new to the dance music scene, Autograf has taken the fast track to popularity, playing events like Groove Cruise Miami and CRSSD Festival. The name “Autograf” comes from the idea that each and every person in this world will leave their mark, their autograph if you will, which for these three is the gift of music.
